Pretty interesting to see Audi celebrating their 100th anniversary by getting their team to design a luxury grand piano. By the way, this was their automotive design team, not their merchandising division.They got together with Bosendorfer, a world-renowned builder of keyboards to build this extraordinary grand piano.
They wanted to do the design, but it would be meaningless if it wasn’t functional, so they kept the basic shape to ensure quality acoustics.
Besides cel
ebrating their centenary, chief designer Wolfgang Egger said he also wanted his design team to do this to generate new out-of-the-box thinking for auto design as well.
The Bosendorfer Audi Design Grand Piano will cost around $140,000, and will debut at in Ingolstadt at their 100th anniversary celebration at the Audi Forum on July 16.
